Alice M. (Shoemaker) Hoose

Alice M. (Shoemaker) Hoose, 82, of Ridgebury, PA, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. She was born on April 11, 1939 in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Cheresnowski) Shoemaker. Alice was a graduate of Sayre High School, Class of 1957, was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in South Waverly, PA, was a school bus driver for many years, and enjoyed flower gardening.

Alice is survived by her loving husband Ronald E. Hoose, her daughters; Karen (Terrance) Gray of Elmira, Sharon Gilbert of Pine City, NY, and Marcella “Sam” Hoose of Gillett, PA, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and sister Wilma Bumgardener of Sayre. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jeffrey Hoose who passed away October 4, 1967, and her sisters Patricia and Veronica.

Services are private and are at the convenience of Alice’s family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
