Florence Catherine Langeland, 80, of Ridgebury, PA, passed away pain free on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY after her battle with breast cancer.  She was the loving wife of Raymond Langeland. The couple married September 11, 1954 and had 62 happy years together.

Florence was born on April 14, 1937 in Lockwood, NY, daughter of the late Alva Lloyd and Louisa Lena (Lattimer) Chandler.  She, throughout her life and marriage enjoyed Easter and Christmas holidays as she would make sure all had fun.  She was United Methodist by faith and was a Sunday School teacher, was a house cleaner, friend and mentor to many, loved to gamble, and travel, along with buying and reading the newspaper every day.  Florence enjoyed going for rides with her husband and visiting with their many friends. She could strike up a conversation and make a friend with just about anyone anywhere.  She was known for her love of flowers and her porcelain doll collection.

Florence is survived by her husband Raymond, her children: Harold Dale and wife Kathleen with their children Melissa and Christopher, Jaquline Del’Lo and husband Roger Ellsworth with their children Byron and wife Kim with children Bradley and Brynn, Kurtis and his children Gracie and Colton, Debra Jean and her companion Paul, Debra’s ex-husband Larry Fenton and their children Larry, Raymond and his wife, Florence and husband Calvin with their children Hunter, Carter, and Reggie, and Randy and his wife Hope and their daughter Randy, Robert and wife Darlene with children Desheray, Danielle, Alexander, Heidi, and Andrew her siblings Norman, Delores with husband Ora Whipple, Dale and Leona, Mary, Bob and wife Lila, along with half siblings Arthur and Helen.  Florence is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Alva, Asa, Joyce, Albert, Betty, Anna, and Sarah, along with her grandparents Assa and Grace (Sackett) Chandler and James and Stella Lattimer.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 12:00-1:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY.  The funeral service to honor Florence’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 29th at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Hanlon Hill Cemetery.
