Anna May (Anderson) Austin

Anna May (Anderson) Austin, age 92, of Wellsburg, NY passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Facility. She was born May 16, 1928 in Gillett, PA daughter of the late Otto Bush & Jennie May (Hillman) Anderson. She and the late Lynnwood H. Austin were married August 1, 1948 and celebrated 71 years together before his passing on February 14, 2020. Anna was a member of the First Methodist Church, Charter Member of the Wellsburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 30-year 4H Instructor in Wellsburg, member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing and gardening. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Surviving are two daughters, Lynnette Austin of Social Circle, GA, Kathleen Austin Mann of Port Charlotte, FL, son and daughter in law, Lynn “Buss” R. & Debra Austin of Wellsburg, NY, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister Betty Jean Crammer of Chemung, several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Lynn H. Austin and her brother Ralph Anderson.

Services will be private, and burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY. A Memorial Service and luncheon will be held later in the spring.
