Annamae (Malone) Bennett, Age 77, of Roberts Hollow Road, Lowman, NY went to be with her Lord Jesus and her beloved husband Herman on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Herman J. Bennett, Jr. who passed away on August 23, 2002. The couple married November 13, 1954 and had 47 happy years together.
Annamae was born on August 13, 1937 at home in Waverly, NY, daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Banfield) Malone. She was a member of the Resurrection Tabernacle in Elmira, NY. Annamae enjoyed playing bingo and getting her son-in-law Ronnie in trouble. Her most prized possession was her family and she loved every minute she could spend with them. Annamae was also so loved by the many patrons of the Wellsburg Diner where she could always be seen peeling potatoes.
Annamae is survived by her daughters: Linda Thomas and Alan Marsh of Lowman, NY, Audrey and Louie Baker of Lowman, NY, Debbie and Jim Wood of Elmira, NY, Rose and Ronnie McCartney of Lowman, NY, Tammy Chandler of Lockwood, NY, and Joanne and Shaun Forsyth of Gillett, PA, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, her brothers: George and Dorothy Malone of Waverly, NY and John Malone of Waverly, NY, along with family friend Albert Piston. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Herman.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, New York. The funeral service to celebrate Annamae’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 18th at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Gerald Glover officiating. Burial will follow the service in Riverside Cemetery.
