Anthony E. Watkins

Anthony E. Watkins, affectionately known as Andy, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on March 19, 1958, to the late Larry Watkins and Doris Jean (Morgan) Watkins, Andy lived a life full of dedication to his family, work, and passions.

Andy spent many years as a devoted truck driver, a career he cherished, before retiring from Castella Trucking, Inc. in April 2025. His time on the road was a testament to his hard work and commitment, qualities that defined his character.

Beyond his professional life, Andy was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting deer and turkey. His love for nature was surpassed only by his love for his family. He treasured every moment spent with his beloved wife, Lori (Strope) Watkins, and took immense pride in his children: Christopher (Amber) Watkins, Travis Watkins, and Andrea (David) Watkins. His grandchildren, Anthony Peterson and Nicholas Allen, held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the times spent creating memories with them.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Darlene Watkins. He leaves behind a loving family, including his brothers Tim (Judy) Watkins, Ron (Tammy) Watkins, and Josh (Martha) Watkins, and his sisters Jeannie (Jack) Burbage and Trish Watkins.

In accordance with Andy’s wishes, there will be no public services. A memorial service will be planned later at the convenience of the family to honor his memory.
