Beverly J. Harding

Beverly J. (Porter) Harding, resident of Horseheads, NY and formerly of East Smithfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

Beverly was retired from Aetna Insurance and Internal Medicine Associates of the Southern Tier. While living in East Smithfield she was a member of the Smithfield Township Volunteer Fire Department for several years and held the positions of Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer of the department. She also served as chairperson of the fire department’s Authority Board for 3 years. She was a member of the Sullivan Trail Model A Ford Club where she served as Secretary for several years.

Beverly is survived by brothers John Porter of Elkland, PA and Vern (Carol) Porter of Painted Post, NY, nieces and nephews: Barry (Tammie) Porter, Yvonne Terwilliger, Scott (Tammy) Porter, and Brenda (Doug) Tong, and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald “Homer” Harding, parents John and Mabel Porter, brother Walter Porter, and sister-in-law Shirley Porter.

Beverly did not want services or calling hours, should you wish to honor Beverly’s memory donations can be made to any local animal rescue.

Beverly’s family has entrusted her care to Roberts Funeral Home, Wellsburg, NY.
