Bruce E. Lowman

Bruce E. Lowman, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away at his home in Bentley Creek, PA, on August 2, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Sayre, PA, on August 29, 1951, Bruce lived a life filled with love for his family, passion for the outdoors, and dedication to his work.

Bruce spent many years as an equipment operator for PennDOT, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. In his leisure time, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace in the woods and rivers of Pennsylvania. Bruce also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and NASCAR, sharing this passion with friends and family alike.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert "Dutch" and Bernice (Chamberlain) Lowman; his cherished wife, Gail (Guthrie) Lowman, who passed away on September 21, 2019; his brother, Allen L. Lowman; granddaughter, Apryl Lowman; and brother-in-law, Daniel Hanrahan.

Bruce leaves behind a loving family who will carry on his memory: his children, Allen A. (Maggie) Lowman of Waverly, NY, Penny S. (Tim) Arnold of Millerton, PA, and Vallerie L. (Brent) MacWhinnie of Ulster, PA; six grandchildren; his sister, Connie Hanrahan of Fassett, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Bruce's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. in Wellsburg, NY.
