Charles H. Woodruff

Charles H. Woodruff, 87, of Wellsburg, NY, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at ELCOR in Horseheads, NY.  He was the loving husband of Darlene E. (Chase) Woodruff.  The couple married March 20, 1982 and had 33 happy years together.

Charles was born on June 20, 1928 in Elmira, NY, son of the late Edward and Hannah Woodruff.  He was a 1947 graduate of Thomas Edison High School in Elmira Heights, NY and was a general assembly person at Capabilities, Inc. in Elmira.  Charles was a former member of the Wellsburg United Methodist Church and was a current member of the Wellsburg Community Church.  He enjoyed mowing grass and just being outdoors.

Charles is survived by his wife Darlene, his sons: Charles E. Woodruff, Jeff Woodruff, and Craig Woodruff, his daughter Lois Woodruff, several grandchildren, his brother John Woodruff, his sister Ruth Mull, his niece Melody Mull, and his nephew Robert Kennedy, his father-in-law Lawrence Chase, and his sister-in-law Lorraine G. Swank.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The memorial service for Charles H. Woodruff to honor his life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Wellsburg Community Church, 280 Main Street Wellsburg, NY.  The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
