Charlotte E. (Russell) Makinster

Charlotte Elaine Makinster, 83, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021 at home. She worked for Coldiron Diner in Lowman as a baker, was a taxi driver for a short while and worked for Elmira Stamping. Charlotte loved road trips, was a cross country traveler and knew her geography. She wrote many pages of songs that were washed away in a flood.

Charlotte is survived by her brother William Russell and Patty, son C. Timothy Makinster and Deb, daughter Doris and John Tillory, stepchildren Charles C Makinster and Doris, Connie and Darrell Daniels, grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her mother Ethel Russell, husband Charles C Makinster, sons Richard Van Auken and Scott Makinster, sisters Lynn Swanson and Carolyn South and stepdaughter Bonnie Schmidt.

There will be a one hour viewing at Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY on Sunday October 17, 2021 1:00-2:00 pm and a gathering at the Baptist Church in Ridgebury on the Berwick TPKE following.
