It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl L. (Perry) Zabady, of Gillett, PA, departed this life on July 15, 2026, in Elmira, NY, at the age of 57, after a long battle with cancer. Born on July 1, 1969, in Sayre, PA, Cheryl was a cherished soul who touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and loving nature.

Cheryl found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Her passion for visiting casinos was well-known among those close to her, and she often shared stories of her adventures and the joy they brought her. Additionally, Cheryl had a deep affection for her pets, and her beloved dogs George, Armani, Danny, and Ariel held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delos J. "Punk" and Nola K. (Morgan) Perry; her son, Kyle M. Zabady; her brother, Lynn Perry; and her sister, Lois Perry. Cheryl's legacy continues through her surviving family members: her children, Kelvin (Emily) Zabady of Texas, Harley (Adam) Noble of Ridgebury, PA, and Kara (Eli Milo) Terribury of Elmira, NY. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Taylor, Levi, Ariana, Zeke, Laela, Amelia, Madison, Ezra, Gabriel, Joellyn, Julian, and Javier. Cheryl is survived by her siblings, Butch (Lisa) Perry of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Cecil (Mechelle) Perry of Ridgebury, PA, and Ann Shock of Gillett, PA, along with several nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 279 Main St., Wellsburg, NY 14894. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home, where Cheryl's life and the countless moments she shared with others will be honored and remembered.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cheryl's name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, in hope of supporting the ongoing fight against cancer and helping others in need.
