Cornelius M. "Corrie" Hofman

Cornelius M. Hofman, affectionately known as Corrie, passed away peacefully at his home in Pine City, NY, on April 1, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on March 12, 1959, in Elmira, NY, Corrie was a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend.

Throughout his life, Corrie dedicated himself to his work as a machinist at Hilliard Corp. in Elmira, NY. Known for his meticulous nature and strong work ethic, he was respected and admired by colleagues and friends alike.

Corrie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for mowing his yard and tending to his garden. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed the challenge and strategy of Mahjong and Solitaire, often losing himself in their intricacies for hours.

Corrie married his loving wife, Patricia "Trish" A. (Hoover) Hofman, on November 24, 2024. Their time together, though brief, was filled with love and companionship. He is survived by Trish, who will cherish his memory always. Corrie is also survived by his brother, Rennie Hofman of Pine City, NY, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrianus M. Hofman; his mother, Jannetje (DeBruin) Hofman; and wife, Donna Hofman, brother Raymond and sister Mary Ann.

The family of Cornelius M. Hofman will honor his memory at their convenience. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main St. Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with Corrie’s cremation.
