Dakota S. Dickerson, Age 12, of Bentley Creek, PA passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family the Dickerson’s. Dakota was born March 20, 2003 in Sayre, PA son of Walter Dickerson, Jr. He attended SRU Middle School and was about to enter the 6th grade this fall. Dakota loved going to school and all of his friends and teachers. He was an honorary fireman at East End Danville / Ridgebury and several other local Fire Departments. His hobbies included 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, camping, mowing the lawn, listening to music, R.C. Cars. Dakota followed the NY Giants and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in NASCAR.
Survivors include his dad Walter Dickerson, Jr. paternal grandparents, Walter & Debora Dickerson, aunt Melissa & uncle El of Pittsburgh, great grandma, Barb Robbins of Corning, half brothers, Zachary, Jessie, Joe and Thomas, half-sisters, Olivia, Kylie, Brooklyn and Kendra, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Dakota was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Robert Dickerson, Sr., Mabel Dickerson, Earl Robbins, Sr., his Uncle Lee Dickerson and Aunt Terri Dickerson.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894. His Celebration of Life service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12 PM with Pastor Robert Wuethrich of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Bentley Creek Cemetery.
The family has requested that everyone attending Dakota’s service wear bright vivid colors to honor and celebrate his life.
