David M. Miller

David M. Miller, age 29, of Church Street, Wellsburg, NY passed away at the Robert Packer Hospital on January 1, 2019 following a lengthy illness. David was born March 19, 1989 in Subic Bay, Philippines, son of Kevin Miller and Julita (Saladaga) Colon. Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held from 12 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department, 147 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894. David was a 2007 graduate of Southside High School and was employed at Cameron Manufacturing as a welder prior to his kidney illness. David was a member of the Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department where he was formerly Assistant Seceretary and a member of the West Elmira Fire Department. He was devoted to his community, his family and friends. In his spare time David enjoyed four wheeling, building, buying and selling sporting guns and shooting at the range. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. His zest for life was absolutely unwavering and he could always get a smile from you with his natural ability to crack a joke or just say the right thing. When David wasn't busy helping others he could be found with his daughter Olivia at his side. They were inseparable and their love for each other was a joy to witness. Survivors include his beautiful daughter, Olivia Faye Miller of Wellsburg, father, Kevin & Sharyn Miller of Wellsburg, mother, Julita & Fred Colon of Schenectady, NY,   grandmother and caregiver, Shirley Sullivan of Wellsburg, his sister and brother-in-law, Allison & Andrew Forrest of Denver, CO, brothers, Christopher Colon and Izaiah Colon both of Schenectady, NY, several aunts and uncles including Nancy & Marty Craig of Wellsburg, Karen Quinones of Elmira, several cousins including Makena Craig of Wellsburg, many firefighting & EMS brothers and sisters and a multitude of friends.
