David Lee Thomas, I

WELLSBURG-David Lee Thomas, I, of Elmira and formerly of Texas, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. David was born on December 26, 1952 in Elmira, son of the late Sy and Sarah (Meyers) Cuer. He was a US Army veteran and self employed stone and brick mason. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR and dirt track racing, playing his guitar, and the time he was able to spend with his granddaughter Ellie. David was Christian by faith. David is survived by his son, David L. (Courtney) Thomas, II of Spring, TX; his granddaughter, Ellie Brooke Thomas; his brother, Willis E. "Bill" Thomas, III and fiancAC.e Cheri Roberts of Big Pond, PA; his sister, Eugena (Robert) Dieterle of North Chemung, NY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be private and at the convenience of David's family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
