Diana Marie (Cortright) Ness, of Wellsburg, NY, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on March 11, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Irene (Goodrich) and Kenneth Clearwater. After her mother married John “Jack” Cortright, he lovingly adopted Diana, and she was raised in Spencer, NY as a proud Cortright.
Diana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother “Nana”, sister, cousin and friend whose gentle spirit and unwavering love touched everyone blessed to know her. Including all the clients that she met while working for Huntington Motors, and the dear friends she made at the Wellsburg diner. She built her life around family, finding her greatest joy in the moments shared with those she loved most.
She leaves behind her husband Ronald Ness, and her children:

Predeceased by grandson Anthony “AJ” Rhodes

Son: John Reeves of Slaterville Springs, NY
Bonus daughter: Belinda (Dell) Geldmeyer of Green Bay, WI
Grandchildren: Austin (Gabby) Geldmeyer, WI
Bonus daughter: Daisy (Joe Provencher) Ness of Niagara, WI
Grandchildren: Cole, Mason (Gracie), Berk and Ava Geldmeyer, all of WI
Diana is also survived by her sister, Jacquline (Skip Evans) Stabel of Ovid, NY, her sister-in-law Karen Goodrich of Milan PA, brother John (Ann) Cortright of Dallas, TX and her Clearwater family of Iowa.
She was predeceased by her parents John “Jack” and Irene Cortright, her brother Donald Goodrich, her grandson Anthony “AJ” Rhodes, her biological father Kenneth Clearwater and her former husband Charles “Chuck” Reeves.
Her absence leaves a deep and painful void, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, strength, and quiet compassion will be remembered always.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. A gathering of remembrance for family and friends, will be on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at the Wellsburg Diner, 3683 Front St., Wellsburg, NY 14894. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in Diana's memory to Erway Ambulance, 2030 College Ave. Elmira, NY 14903.
