Duane E. Elston

Duane E. Elston, 73, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Corning Community Hospital. He was born on September 26, 1949 in Elmira, son of the late Kenneth E. and Harriet L. (Hughes) Elston, Sr. Duane was a Contractor and was the owner/operator of Twin Tiers Installation in Elmira. He enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, laughing, and spending time with family and friends.

Duane is survived by his children: Shannon (Anthony) Gill, Jeffery (Heather) Elston, and Ebben Lyman, grandchildren: Brittney (Andre), Braden (Donna), Brady, and Ashley Chilson, Adam (Hailey) Elston, and Victor Lyman, great grandchildren: A.J., Thomas, Cyrus, Carma, Lyric, and Aiden, siblings: Kenneth Elston, Jr., Cheryl Apgar, Jerry (Nancy) Elston, and Pat Elston-Ward, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Thomas Elston, bothers-in-law Geno Apgar and Donnie Ward, nieces Kim and Stacie Elston, and nephew Dylan Donovan.

Services will be private and are at the convenience of Duane’s family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
