George Moilanen

George Moilanen, 57, of Elmira, NY passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at home.  He was the loving husband of Tina M. (Collins) Moilanen. The couple married December 31, 2003 and had 17 happy years together.

George was born on December 12, 1963 in Elmira, NY, son of the late George and Shirley (Hess) Moilanen. He worked for TJ Maxx for 15 years, enjoyed playing golf, working around the house, and helping others.

George is survived by his loving wife Tina, his stepdaughter Holly (Webster) Sherman with grandchildren Jaiden and Tye Sherman, stepson Tad (Kristen) Sherman with grandchildren Benjamin and Alexandria Sherman, sister Tina Marie Moilanen (Steve), brother-in-law and sister-in-law Shawn and Nicole Kerbein with son Alec Kerbein, mother-in-law Theresa Kerbein, and niece Samantha Brown (Jay). George was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are welcome to the gathering to celebrate George’s life from 2:00-5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY.
