George F. Richter

George Richter, age 88. He was born May 15, 1929 in Roaring Branch, PA to Charles and Nellie Richter. George was a long time resident of Chemung, NY, before recently residing in the Sayre House in Sayre, PA where he passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018.

George was predeceased by his parents, his wife Betty and his son Howard. He is survived by his sister Marion Thompson Kuser, daughter Marilyn Richter in Silver Spring MD, son George (Sue) Richter in Lockwood, son Duane (Terri) Richter in Lockwood and son Lynn (Dorothy) Richter in Nichols. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George made his living for many years in the logging industry. He greatly enjoyed his many draft horses that he had over the course of his life. It was in these pursuits that George made so many of his life-long friendships and associations.

There will be a time of gathering for family and friends on Saturday May 5, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a memorial service immediately following at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY.
