WELLSBURG- Gilberta "Berta" (Kinglsey) Kellogg passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the age of 97 years old at the Sayre Health Care Center in Sayre, PA.

Gilberta was born on January 12, 1917 in East Smithfield, PA, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Kingsley. Summers were spent traveling throughout the United States and European countries, along with spending time at her and Kelly's cottage on Lake Ondawa (Big Pond) where she taught many children how to swim. Berta was a member of numerous organizations, her favorite being the Audubon Club, she was an avid bridge club player, and volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for 25 years. She was a member of the East Smithfield Federated Church and Westside United Methodist Church in Elmira.

Gilberta is survived by her two grandchildren; Kelly and Kevin Becker of Downs Grove, IL and Andrew Beninati of Springfield, MO, her great granddaughter Ella Becker, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Elizabeth Kingsley, her husband Eustace "Kelly" Kellogg, her brother Jerome Kingsley, and her sister Marian Young, and her daughter Elizabeth Joy Beninati.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 2:00-3:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY. The funeral service to honor Gilberta's life will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 3:00 at the funeral home.
