Glen A. Guiles, Jr. Age 66 of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Glen was born April 13, 1948 in Elmira, NY son of the late Glen A. and Norma (Bailey) Guiles. He grew up the only boy in a household of seven sisters. Following graduation from Troy High School Glen served his country with the US Army from 1967 to 1969 in Vietnam. He and the former Sara A. Winslow were married August 13, 1982 and celebrated 32 years of marriage. Glen retired following 18 years of service from Custom Mix Concrete where he drove truck. He was a proud member of the GWRRPAR.
Surviving is his loving wife Sara A. Guiles of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, his children, Timothy J. Guiles of Laceyville, PA, Tammy S. Chilson of Wyalusing, PA, Sandy L. Dawson of Athens, PA, and Glen A. Guiles III of Candor, NY, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces nephews and cousins.
It was Glen’s wishes that his service be private and at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY.
Memorials in Glen’s memory may be made to the donor’s local food pantry.
