John J. Liptak, passed away at the age of 85 on November 15, 2024, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Born on December 21, 1938, in Middlesex, NJ, John led a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for his family and community. A proud veteran, John served his country with honor in the US Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea. After his military service, he built a fulfilling career as a warehouseman for Linden Motor Freight in Piscataway, NJ. John was a man of many talents and interests. He had an innate ability to build and fix things, always lending a helping hand when needed. An avid hunter, he found peace and joy in nature. Faith was a cornerstone of John's life and he attended Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church where he formed lasting friendships and shared his deep spiritual devotion.
John leaves behind his cherished wife of 37 years, Sandra G. (Kerns) Liptak, who stood by his side through all of life's seasons. His legacy lives on through his children: Christopher, Michael, Amanda, and Ian and his wife Sarah. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his sisters Dorothy, Theresa, and Marie, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, George S. and Catherine M. (Savinsky) Liptak, his sister Helen, and brother George.
The memorial service to honor John's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church, located at 13255 Berwick Turnpike, Gillett, PA, with Rev. Robert Wuethrich officiating. Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main St. Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
