Jonathan Andrew Drake

Jonathan Andrew Drake, 32, of Pine City and formerly of Wellsburg, NY passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.  Jonathan was born on May 10, 1983 in Elmira, son of Michael F. and Teddi Anne (Vanderpoel) Drake of Pine City, NY.  He was a graduate of South Side High School, Class of 2000, and worked as a Roustabout in the natural gas industry.  In high school Jonathan was all around outstanding athlete, playing basketball, football, and baseball where he excelled.  He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends.  Jonathan was known for his generosity and having a big heart, he would give everything he had to someone in need.  He was friendly, always happy, and was loved by all.

Jonathan is survived by his parents, his son Jonathan Andrew Drake, Jr. who was the light of his life, his siblings: Courtney (Jamie) Mines of Elmira, NY, Michael M. (Crissy) Drake of Vestal, NY, Craig M. (Michele) Drake of Wellsburg, NY, Lindsey L. (Benjamin) Becker of Elmira, NY, and Maria Drake with fiancé Steven Wright of Corning, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY.  The funeral service to honor Jonathan’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 18th at the funeral home with Fr. Joseph Kutch of the Epiphany Roman Catholic Parish officiating.
