Joyce L. (Spencer) Bennett

Joyce L. (Spencer) Bennett, 69, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at her home.  Joyce was born January  10, 1949 in Elmira, daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy (Sawyer) Spencer.  She was one of the first female line workers at the American LaFrance factory in Elmira and was passionate about bingo.

Joyce is survived by her children Paula Draht of Lowman, NY and James (Rebecca) Johnston of New Market, TN, her granddaughter Tressa Draht, her great grandson Brody Grace, her brothers and sisters: Stanley “Skeeter” (Diane) Spencer of Horseheads, NY, Judy (Bennie) Moore of Elmira, John Spencer of Deland, FL, Joanne (Michael) Smith and Daryl (Judy) Spencer, both of Elmira, and Tammy (Raymond) Sherman of Mansfield, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services are private and at the convenience of Joyce’s family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY has been trusted with the arrangements.
