Judd C. Burt, 81, of Wellsburg, NY passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the loving husband of Patricia E. (Atkins) Burt.  The couple married June 5, 1960 and had 54 happy years together.

Judd was born on January 23, 1934 in Wellsburg, son of the late Truman and Reva (Camp) Burt.  He was a Wellsburg High School graduate and received his varsity letters in Basketball and baseball.  Judd was a US Navy veteran, serving his country aboard the USS Pillsbury and USS Picking from 1953-57.  He retired from the Chemung County Highway Department in 1988.  When he was young Judd belonged to the Wellsburg Fire Department and for many years belonged to the Baptist church in Wellsburg.  Judd’s true passion was golf, he was a member of Tomasso's Golf Course and had a hole-in-one at the age of 79.

Judd is survived by his wife Patricia, his daughters Brenda Burt Liadka and Mark Justice of Cicero, NY, and Tammy Burt Diaz of Elmira, NY, his sisters Lena Buckland of Elmira, and Helen Isabel Ackerman of Texas, along with many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents his brothers Ed and Truman, and his sisters Eleanor, Jessie, Kate, Doris, and Nancy.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-2:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY.  The memorial service to honor Judd’s life will begin after the visitation at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 21st at the funeral home with Mr. Richard Root officiating.  Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery with military honors given by the US Navy and the Chemung County Honor Guard.
