Katherine Irene (Doan) Mckerrow

Katherine Irene (Doan) McKerrow went home to be with her loving Father our Lord Jesus Christ on October 27, 2024, following declining health due to a long battle with cancer.

She was born on January 10, 1938 in Wellsburg and was a daughter of the late John and Violet (Gonzales) Doan. She worked at Westinghouse along with her husband, Charles McKerrow, for many years. Katherine married Charles McKerrow on October 5, 1968. Chuck preceded her in death on November 8, 2010. Katherine was an avid hunter, she would go out and hunt deer with her family. She was a worldwide traveler who enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed the casino life, all kinds of games, puzzles, crocheting and the list goes on. But most of all she loved being with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving brother Robert Doan, numerous nieces and nephews, and her good friend Roy Ervay. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Chuck, sister Mary Shrimp, brothers Herbert, George, Vern, Orlo, and Dwayne.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:30-1:30 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Katherine will be buried along side her husband in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens following the visitation.
