Kathleen R. (Burke) Orr

Kathleen Rose (Burke) Orr, 74, formally of Wellsburg, NY, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025.

She was born on April 10, 1951, a daughter of the late Daniel and Waneta (Hamblin) Burke. Kathy married Ronald B. Orr on June 28, 1970 and was married for 49 years before his death on August 9, 2019.

Kathy is survived by her children Charles (TeeJa) Orr of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Debra (Rocky Sr.) Thompson of Pearland, TX and Andrew Orr of Chemung, NY grandchildren Gavin (Lisa) Orr of Wellsburg, NY, Nate Fivie-Eden of Elmira, NY, Brianna Orr (caretaker of Kathy’s beloved canine Peppe’) of Chemung, NY, Rocky, Jr. Thompson (Tracy Adam), Kayla (Chance) Deyo, Tyler Thompson, all of Pearland, TX, great grandchildren Hailey, Cayden and Skylar Onnela, Kinsley Deyo, Levi Thompson, Maverick Thompson, all of Pearland, TX and Ivy Orr of Wellsburg, NY, sisters Lois Phillips of Cheyenne, WY, Eunice (William) Hagios of Horseheads, NY, and her very special sister Billie Caroline Burke of Van Etten, NY as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Along with her husband Ron, Kathy is predeceased by her sister, Sharon De La Osa Cruz.

Kathy was a retired Registered Nurse where she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 20 years. Kathy was an active/life member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Wellsburg Fire Department since the early 1980’s.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY. The memorial service to honor Kathy’s life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the funeral home.

Kathy had a love for taking care of plants and gardening, the family has asked that instead of flowers, plants would be appreciated to honor Kathy's passion for plants.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sayre Health Care Center, and Guthrie Hospital, for the wonderful care Kathy received.
