It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Keith L. Abbey, Sr., of Ridgebury, PA, who departed this life on July 1, 2026, at the age of 82, in Sayre, PA. Born on March 14, 1944, in Watkins Glen, NY, Keith was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother whose warmth and spirit touched everyone who knew him.

Keith was a graduate of Corning High School and went on to build a commendable career as a member of the Pipe Fitters Union before retiring from Corning, Inc. His dedication to his work was matched only by his zest for life and the many passions he pursued with enthusiasm.

An avid outdoorsman, Keith found great joy in fishing and hunting, spending countless hours enjoying the tranquility and challenge of nature. He also had a love for card games and board games, which he shared with family and friends, creating cherished memories over the years.

Keith's hands were rarely idle; he had a talent for woodworking and building, crafting beautiful and functional pieces that will be treasured by those left behind. His passion for auto racing was a lifelong pursuit, and in his younger days, Keith owned a race car that competed in the late model class at both the Woodhall and Dundee racetracks, fueling his love for speed and competition.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Louis L. and Alma M. (Herrick) Abbey, his beloved wife, Patricia Ann (Gumoski) Abbey, who passed away on October 26, 2020, and a teenage sister.

He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory: sons Tim S. (Tracy) Abbey, Mark G. (Bonnie) Rightmire, and Keith L. (Monica Hope) Abbey, Jr.; grandchildren Greg G. (Jessica) Rightmire, Brittany C. Rightmire, Greg S. Abbey, Alexandria Wade, Mallory Wade, McKenzie Ladner, Marli Abbey, Sean (Lexi) Elliott, Dorothy (Greg) Smith, Robert (Marlene) Burchard, and Justin (Margaret) Burchard; along with many great-grandchildren.
