Kenneth T. Dunbar

October 2, 1967 — October 8, 2018

Kenneth T. Dunbar, 51, of Elizabethtown, PA passed away after a long courageous battle with Glioblastoma, brain cancer on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband of Sherry L. (Najarian) Dunbar. The couple married October 4, 1996 and had 31 happy years together.

Ken was born on October 2, 1967 in Sayre, PA, son of Duane H. “Butch” and Donna J. (Lenox) Dunbar of East Smithfield, PA. He was a 1985 graduate of SRU High School, attended Elizabethtown College, and graduated from Mansfield University in 1990. Ken finished his career in Information Technology with Armstrong World Industries.  He played soccer in high school, enjoyed astronomy and sky watching, and was a passionate Disc Golf enthusiast. Ken was United Methodist by faith.

Ken is survived by his wife Sherry, his parents Butch and Donna, his children Quinn H. Dunbar and Peter T. Dunbar, his brother Terry L. (Bridget) Dunbar of Vermont, his nieces Brittany L. Dunbar Martin and Samantha J. Dunbar, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with many loyal friends.  Ken was preceded in death by his sister Pamela J. Dunbar.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY. The funeral service to honor Ken’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on October 13th at the funeral home with his family’s pastor, Rev. Jennifer Wolf of the Big Pond/Wetona United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hillside Cemetery, Big Pond, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East 3rd Street Williamsport, PA, 17701 or to the charity of one’s own choosing.
