Margaret (Maggie) Lynn McManamon passed peacefully into heaven on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 10:20 AM, surrounded by people she loved.
Maggie was born on June 3, 1952 in Binghamton, NY, where she grew up near the Ross Park Zoo and spent her childhood wandering through the woods and playing by the stream near her house. She loved nature and the outdoors, and was rather a tomboy as a young girl.
Maggie grew up to become quite talented with arts and crafts, and decorating. She owned a boutique in Watkins Glen that sold beautiful upcycled furniture she’d restored and painted, as well as fancy, homemade dog treats she made and sold in the shop’s pet bakery. Maggie had exquisite taste in decor and could turn any space into an inviting aesthetic.
Maggie also was gifted at manicures and pedicures, and formed lasting, close friendships with several of her clients. Maggie put extra care into pedicures, adding essential oils and foot massages into her sessions, knowing how much her clients loved and appreciated the extra pampering. She never balked at this, imagining how therapeutic her fingers felt on tired feet.
During her last weeks of life, Maggie was in turn given the gift of a daily foot massage, which she always looked forward to.
Maggie was a member of Wellsburg Community Church in Wellsburg, NY, and loved her church family and attending services on Sunday mornings.
Maggie is survived by a daughter, Sandi (Brian) Nielson of Conklin, TX, son Jordan Rolston of Gillett, PA; and son Jake (Colleen) Rolston of Binghamton, NY; and grandchildren: Maura, Mason, Micky, Mitchell and Dominick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Beverly Craig of Binghamton, NY.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Maggie’s home church: Wellsburg Community Church, 3662 Front Street, Wellsburg, NY. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
