Margrit J. Wiebach

Margrit J. (Sann) Wiebach, beloved friend and cherished community member, went home peacefully to her Lord and Savior surrounded by those she loves on September 14, 2026, in Ridgebury Township, Pennsylvania, just two days shy of her 82nd birthday. Born on September 16, 1944, in Magdeburg, Germany, Margrit's journey through life was one marked by dedication, passion, and a deep love for the simple joys that surrounded her.

Margrit devoted much of her professional life to serving as a Specialist of Office Automation. Her career began with the U. S. Department of Justice for the District of Columbia, United States Attorney’s Office, as well as the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington D.C. in the Data processing Unit. In her personal life, Margrit found joy in the great outdoors, she had a profound love for nature and all creatures, often embarking on hiking adventures with her camera in hand, capturing the beauty of nature through her lens. A voracious reader and admirer of criminal law, she filled her days with literature that expanded her mind and fed her curiosity. She particularly enjoyed indulging in Chinese cuisine and had a special affection for dairy farms and cows Her fondness for animals was most evident in her love for cats, of which she had several as cherished companions throughout her life. She was often called the “Crazy German Cat Lady” Margrit was also an avid viewer of the television show "Highway to Heaven" and found comfort and inspiration in its messages, and most of all spending each day with her best friend. She was a devoted member of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church, where she found a spiritual home and a close-knit community of friends and fellow believers. She always looked forward to her Sunday morning hugs. Margrit is preceded in death by her parents, Klaus Heinrich and Edith Elsa (Proft) Sann, and her beloved husband, Wolfgang Wiebach who passed away December 3, 2019 of whom she longed to reunite with. Margrit leaves behind her beloved adopted Stringham family that she “latched” onto along with all of “Oma’s” babies of whom she absolutely loved, spoiled and doted on, Landon, Miyia, Easton, Sawyer, Conner, Leland, Kaiysen, Royal, Anna, Kallum and Jaxson. As well and her special friends Rozie, Becky and Ava. She was particularly fond of her dear friends Tricia and Brian along with her “favorite” staff, Jean, Loni, Lisa and Samantha who are deeply sorrowed by her passing yet celebrate her memory and look forward to seeing her again in eternity. A private service will be held at the convenience of her family, honoring Margrit’s wishes for a peaceful and intimate farewell. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Margrit's loving name may be directed to the Bradford County Humane Society(For the Cats from the “Crazy German Cat Lady”) 24812US-220, Ulster, PA 18850 or a local Dairy Farm of your choice located in Bradford County.
