Marion B. Paul

Marion B. Paul, Age 82, of Southport, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Marion was born July 23, 1933 in Elmira daughter of the late Theodore R. and Vera (Fields) Barnes. Following graduation from school Marion worked at Grand Union, Danny Discount, Carey’s Luggage, Harold’s Army Navy, Personius-Warne Studios, Thatcher and Anchor Glass. She was an avid archery shooter, league bowler at the Elmira Bowling Center, loved to dance to polka and country music. She enjoyed traveling, visiting the casino’s, playing the lottery, bingo and I Got It. One of the memorable events in life was a hot air balloon ride.
Survivors include daughters, Cheryl & Rick Hurd of Wellsburg, Melyssa Benton of Phoenix, AZ, (Cheryl Paul), Diane & Michael Liddick of Elmira, a son Timothy (Bonnie Hart) Paul of Elmira Heights, a sister Dorothy Savon of Horseheads, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son Richard J. Paul, two brothers Larry and Tom Barnes, and her ex-husband, Richard A. Paul.
Family and friends are invited to call from Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. It was Marion’s wishes that there be no service.
