Martha E. Hanmer, Age 88, formerly of Wellsburg, NY passed away on her birthday, Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born in Wellsburg on July 27, 1927 daughter of the late George & Martha (Dalton) Hanmer, Jr. She was retired from Janowsky Realty were she was employed as their Office Manager for many years. Martha was a very active member of the Wellsburg Community her memberships included the Christ Episcopal Church, Life Member of the Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Historical Society, the Wellsburg Band , Jewitt Family of America, the Rebekah's and the Mayflower Society.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Suzanne Kramer of Horseheads, Raymond & Joanne Parker of Lowman, Nancy & Nicholas Paluszkiewicz of Horseheads, Michael & Sharon Parker of Murfreesboro, TN, Diane & Steven Struble of Houston, TX, James Parker of Woodbourne, NY, John Parker of Elmira, several great nieces and nephews.
Martha was predeceased by her parents, a sister and brother in law, Beverly & Raymond Parker, Jr. nephews, Scottie Parker and Robert Kramer and a niece Christine Parker.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY with Fr. Robert Adkins officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894.
