Maynard Chomenko

Maynard Chomenko, 88, of Lowman, NY, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at ELCOR in Horseheads, NY. He was the loving husband of Hazel (Jackson) Chomenko. The couple married in 1950 and had 65 happy years together.
Maynard was born in Lowman, son of the late John and Victoria (Silowanick) Chomenko. He was a welder for US Steel in Elmira Heights, NY. Maynard enjoyed working around the farm and hunting.
Maynard is survived by his wife Hazel, his children: John Chomenko, Valerie Chomenko, Dane Chomenko, and Clinton Chomenko, all of Lowman, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his sister Lena Swatsworth of Horseheads, NY, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and several sisters.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY. The funeral service to honor Maynard’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 28th at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of Maynard’s family.
