Melissa A. (Henry) Ashby

Melissa A. (Henry) Ashby, 52, of Milan, PA, passed away on June 8, 2024, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on April 7, 1972, in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Mary (Warren) Henry and Thomas Henry of Bentley Creek, PA. Melissa retired from her work in Human Resources at Cabinet Works in Sayre. She was a member of Epiphany Parish in Sayre and was attending St. James Catholic Church in Waverly, NY. Melissa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her compassion towards all and her willingness to help others.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jason D. Ashby of Milan, PA; her children Bryant (Mae) Ashby, Maryanna Ashby, and Samson Ashby; her grandson Roman; her father Thomas Henry of Bentley Creek, PA; her siblings Tammy (Harold) Hulings, Michael (Kara) Henry, and Elizabeth (Jim) Markiwitz; her father and mother-in-law Daniel and Cynthia Ashby; her brother-in-law David Ashby; and her sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Gene Gunter. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary.

Services for Melissa will include a viewing at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. at 279 Main St. Wellsburg, NY on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel, 3418 Chapel Road, Milan, PA 18831, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help defray funeral costs.
