Raymond F. Stone

Raymond F. Stone, known by many as Stoney, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023, at the age of 92 at Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore, PA. He was born on May 2, 1931, in Greene, NY, to his parents Fred and Helen (Lee) Stone. Stoney had a fulfilling work life, spending many years as a farmer, heavy equipment operator, and truck driver. He loved working outdoors and had a passion for woodworking. Ray also proudly served his country as a US Army veteran.

Raymond is survived by his loving children Raymond (Paula) Stone of Orange County, VA, Daniel (Theresa) Stone of North Carolina, Diane Stone of Dansville, NY, Nancy (Richard) Noterfonzo of Rochester, NY, Robert Stone, and Richard (Angie) Stone of Louisville, KY, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stoney was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Clara Bell (Terry) Stone, and their children Dorothy Kent and Curtis Stone.

A graveside service for Raymond F. Stone will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park located at 563 Jerusalem Hill Road, Elmira, NY 14901. Military rites will be given to honor his service to our country. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
