Rebecca J. "Becky" (Church) Liddy

Rebecca J. Liddy, Age 75, of Wellsburg, NY passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Athens Health & Rehab Center. Becky was born June 17, 1948, in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Donald H. & Adeline L. (Park) Church. She was a graduate of Southside High School and was married to William J. Liddy on October 2, 1971. Becky was employed for several years at Southern Tier Pediatrics as a nurse and after leaving nursing she worked at the Wellsburg Diner as their desert chef baking some of the most delicious pies and cakes. She was a former member of the Wellsburg Fire Department Auxiliary and in her spare time she liked quilting, gardening and spending time with her family, Becky also loved her pets.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years William J. Liddy of Wellsburg, her sons, Matthew (Jill) Liddy of Horseheads, Brian (Stacey) Liddy of Horseheads a daughter, Amy (Bill) Thomas of Lowman, seven grandchildren, Taylor Thomas, Brody Liddy, Savannah Liddy, Billy Thomas, Veronica Thomas, Katrina Brisbois, Kyle Brisbois, two great-grandchildren, Rosie Stanton, Lily Thomas, a sister Carla (Michael) Booker of Elmira, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Becky was predeceased by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4 PM to 6 PM on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894. Becky’s memorial service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Ashland Cemetery.
