Rodney L. Robinson

Rodney L. Robinson, 77, of Wellsburg, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was the loving husband of the late Nancy L. (Burt) Robinson who passed away on November 25, 2012. The couple married October 20, 1962 and had 50 happy years together.

Rodney was born on April 4, 1943 in Elmira, son of the late Leslie and Geraldine (Dibble) Robinson. He was a Southside High School graduate and was a Laborer for Laborers Local #1358 where he was a hard working construction worker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Rodney enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at the cottage on Waneta Lake, tending to his wood burning stove, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson and attending their sporting events.

Rodney is survived by his children Rodney C. Robinson of Wellsburg and Geri Rogers of Vero Beach, FL, grandchildren: Kellie Rogers, Rachel Robinson, and Logan Robinson, great grandson Roy J. Palmer, siblings: Stephen L. Robinson, Lawrence “Larry” (Tina) Robinson, Russell (Darlene) Robinson, Charles (Joan) Robinson, and Carolyn Butler, sisters-in-law Helen Ackerman and Lena Buckland, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, brother Dale Robinson, and son-in-law John J. Rogers.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Burial will follow the memorial gathering in Ashland Cemetery.
