Roger L. Serfas

Roger L. Serfas, Age 61, of Ulster, PA passed away at home on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Roger was born March 28, 1953 in Elmira, NY son of Lewis Serfas and Lorraine (Purvis) Serfas Russell. He was a graduate of SRU high school and was employed as a propane technician for Williams Oil of the past 17 years. Roger was a member of the Ridgebury Sportsman Club, the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Snowmobile Club and enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his father Lewis Serfas of New Port Richey, FL his mother Lorraine Russell of Lake Placid, FL, his wife Deborah M. (Bailey) Serfas of Ridgebury, five sons, Craig Serfas of Milan, James Serfas of Elmira, Jason Serfas, of Sayre, Jeremiah Serfas of Sayre, Casey Serfas of Gillett, a daughter and son-in-law, Noel (Adam) Yaw, of Watkins Glen, a granddaughter, Kyra Yaw, brother and sister-in-law, David (Mindy) Serfas of Horseheads, two sisters and brothers-in-in-law, Linda (Joseph) Stone of Troy, Theresa (Brian) Hunter of Hanover, several nieces, nephews and friends.
Roger was predeceased by a step-brother William Bailey.
Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 3 to 5 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Roger’s funeral will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 5 PM at the funeral home.
