Ronald E. Hoose

Ronald E. Hoose, 83, of Ridgebury, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at ELCOR in Horseheads, NY. He was the loving husband of the late Alice M. (Shoemaker) Hoose who passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. He was born on July 16, 1938 in Troy, PA son of the late Delace and Louise (Miller) Hoose. Ron was a 1956 graduate of Troy High School and was a farmer and truck driver.  He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in South Waverly, PA, enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, was a NASCAR and Richard Petty fan, along with watching the Miami Dolphins play football.

Ron is survived by his daughters; Karen (Terrance) Gray of Elmira, Sharen Gilbert of Pine City, NY, and Marcella “Sam” Hoose of Gillett, PA, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Kenny, sister Helen, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, son Jeffrey Hoose who passed away October 4, 1967, brothers Max and Elwin, and sisters: Betty Jean, Gladys, Shirley, and Marion.

Services are private and are at the convenience of Ron’s family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
