Susan Jane (Comstock) Saunders

November 10, 1942 — April 13, 2014

WELLSBURG- Susan Jane (Comstock) Saunders, 71, of Lowman, NY passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. She was the loving wife of Ward "Tim" Saunders, Jr. The couple married September 29, 1962 and had 51 happy years together.

Sue was born on November 10, 1942 in Elmira, daughter of the late Raymond Comstock and Pauline Brown. She was a 1961 South Side High School graduate. She worked for the Arnot Ogden Medical Center's laundry department for many years and retired in 2005. Sue was a member of the Lowman United Methodist Church, and enjoyed reading and working in she and Tim's flower gardens. She also enjoyed texting, her monthly dinners with the other Arnot Ogden retirees, and enjoyed most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband Tim, her daughter Tammy (Jim) Pepin of Cohocton, NY, her grandchildren: Kierstin (Casey) Hoffman and Brandon Pepin, her great grandchildren: Blake and Caleb Hoffman, her brother Richard (Susie) Comstock of Wellsburg, NY, her sister Nancy Moss of Manchester, NH, along with nieces and nephews including Rhonda and Chris Holley. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jody Saunders.

Services will be private and at the convenience of Sue's family. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY, has been entrusted with the arrangements
