Susanne I. (Ruppert) Mattingly

Susanne I. (Ruppert) Mattingly, 53, of Painted Post, NY passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

Susanne was born on November 29, 1964 in Weehawken, NJ, daughter of the late Horst Ruppert and Ilse (Hoeflacher) Ruppert of Milan, PA.  She was a 1982 graduate of SRU High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Travel and Tourism Administration from the Boyd Business School.  Susanne was a US Air Force veteran and was Lutheran by faith.  She enjoyed a natural and simplistic lifestyle, including gardening, tending to her flowers and enjoying everything the outdoors had to offer.

Susanne is survived by her mother Ilse, her cat Clarisse and dog Gertie, her fiancé Chris Cullen, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father Horst and her brother Tomas Ruppert.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 3:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street Wellsburg, NY.  The memorial service to honor Susanne’s life will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 27th at the funeral home.
