Thomas Lee Smith

Thomas Lee "Tom" Smith, age 74, of Ridgebury Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home on October 28, 2026. Born on June 23, 1952, in Elmira, New York, Tom was a devoted family man, avid outdoorsman, and respected Quality Inspector for International Quality Consultants.

Tom married his beloved wife Diane on July 8, 1972, and together they shared over five decades of love and companionship. Throughout his life, Tom found great joy in hunting and fishing, playing golf, and indulging his passion for auto racing—a passion that once saw him with his very own race car. He was an active member of the Ridgebury Sportsman Club and treasured the time spent with family and friends.

Tom is lovingly survived by his wife Diane; daughters Renee Rickert of Athens, PA, and Kristie (Josh) Vosburgh of Ridgebury, PA; grandchildren Lainey Vosburgh, Nicholas Vosburgh, and Gabrielle (Mitchell) Thetga; great-grandsons Walker and Hudson Thetga; sister Lucille McMillen of Candor, NY; brothers Mark Smith of Gillet, PA, and Dean (Linda) Smith of Lowman, NY; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise (Lowe) Smith, and his son-in-law, Andy Rickert.

Services to honor Tom’s life will be private and at a later date. Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main St., Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Andy Rickert Memorial Fund, 110 North St., Athens, PA 18810.
