Forrest E. "Ted" Berry

Forrest "Ted" E. Berry, formerly of Ridgebury, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on August 7th, 2023, at the Chemung Nursing Facility surrounded by his family. He was born on June 7, 1937 in Elmira, NY, son of the late Clyde & Ruby Berry. Ted had retired from F.M. Howell Packaging and spent years working part-time at Pine Croft Golf Course.

Ted was married to his best friend and endless love, Mary E. (Freeman) Berry on May 6th, 1967. Mary passed away on September 27th, 2011. They cherished their annual trips to Florida, enjoyed golfing, and created lasting memories with their grandchildren Jeffrey and Marissa. They enjoyed a simple life together at home.

Ted is survived by his son, Jeffrey C. Berry of Elmira, NY, and daughter Sheila (Joe) Manioci of Rochester, NY. His grandchildren include Jeffrey D. Berry and Marissa E. Berry of Elmira, NY. He also had a great-grandson, Keegan, and a great-granddaughter, Kalaya, along with several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the Rochester, NY area, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted's daughter, Yvonne Berry, preceded him in passing. Ted's care has been entrusted to Roberts Funeral Home & Cremation Services. His wishes were for no public calling hours or graveside services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, as per the family’s convenience.
