Gerald Rose Obituary

Gerald W. Rose, Age 77, of Lower Maple Avenue, Elmira, NY, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Gerald was born August 29, 1943 in Sayre, PA son of the late Wardell F. & Dorothy (Schofield) Rose. He was retired as a self employed carpenter and was a former member of the Moose, VFW and Legion. He enjoyed farming, building and anything mechanical.

Survivors include a daughter Sherry Scurlock of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, brothers, David Rose of Elmira, Dale (Marilyn) Rose of Ohio, sisters, Carol (Don) Russell of Bernhards Bay, NY, Sharon Sidock of North Syracuse, NY, one grandson, Steve Scurlock of New Smyrna Beach Florida, great-granddaughter, Emma Scurlock, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Sheryl Rose and brother in law, Sam Sidock.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894.
