Paul E. Novotny

Paul E. Novotny, Age 75, of Penny Lane, Gillett, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at home. Paul was born August 1, 1943 in Somerset, PA son of the late Frank & Irene (Shaulis) Novotny. He was a graduate of SRU high school. Paul and the former Mary Slater were married on January 26, 1963 and just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. He was retired from Schweizer Aircraft where he was employed as a foreman and supervisor. In his spare time Paul being mechanically inclined loved to fix things and always working on TV’s and Radios. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 AM to 11 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Paul’s funeral will follow at 11 AM the funeral home with Rev. Micky Cavanaugh      officiating.

Survivors include his loving wife Mary Novotny of Gillett, a son and daughter-in-law, Brett & Diane Novotny of Elmira, daughter and son-in-law, Christy & Frank Maffei of Gillett, his grandchildren, Angela Novotny, Emily Hoke, Alexandra Maffei, Brandi Jo Spaulding, Keir Walker and Skyler Callaer, a brother, George & Mary Ann Novotny of Elmira, sisters, Chloe Gray of Elmira, Julia & George Colon of Elmira, Shirley Novotny of Elmira, sister-in-law, Rita Novotny of Gillett and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, a son Mark Novotny and his brother Perry Novotny.
