William S. Randolph, affectionately known as Bill, passed away peacefully at his home in Bradford, NY, on October 6, 2023. He was born on November 9, 1938, in Sayre, PA. With a heavy heart, we bid farewell to a remarkable man who leaves behind a legacy of dedication and service.
Bill's professional journey was marked by his commitment to excellence. As a Draftsman and then the Director of Emergency Services for Schuyler County, he tirelessly worked to ensure the safety and well-being of his community. His expertise and leadership were instrumental in establishing the first ambulance service in Schuyler County. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill's impact on his community extended far and wide. He was a graduate of Mansfield University. Bill's selflessness and compassion shone through as he actively participated in various community initiatives, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Bill's memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 25 years, Theresa M. (Terrio) Randolph, children: Sherri R. Sawyer of Avoca, NY; Kevin S. (Karen) Randolph of Bradenton, FL; Denise R. Clark of Rock Stream, NY; Theresa (Brett) Hill of Erin, NY; Tessa Chilson of Southport, NY; John (Rhonda) Chilson of Lowman, NY; George (Christine) Chilson of Elmira, NY; and Tressa (Joe) Rogers of Pine City, NY. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, Bill is survived by his brother Jon (Adele) Wagmen of Ulster Park, NY, and sister Linda (Richard) Bovaird of Mansfield, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bernard M. and Winifred B. (Keeney) Randolph.
Services to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Roberts Funeral Home, Inc., located at 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY 14894. The memorial service, officiated by Rev. Max Myers, will follow the visitation at 11:00 am, with Kevin Randolph assisting. Bill will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
