Like so many people in the area during the early 1970's I got to know Bill quite well on the softball fields, both as an opponent and as a teammate. It was always a pleasure to play with him or against him. I always thought he was the epitome of what a true sportsman should be. If you were depressed when you encountered him you wouldn't remain that way for long. He sure had a knack for making people smile. I'm sure he's playing in Softball Heaven right now. And what a great asset he will be.

I will miss Bill and his good cheer, laughter and jokes. I never saw him down or out. Bill was always in a good mood and full of life. Bradford County and hunting season at the Guido Cabin will be different with the loss of Bill. I was fortunate to have known him. Take Care Billy.....
